I bring an insider’s perspective on FX trading: why mistakes are made, the reasons behind them, and how to fix them.
I have more than twenty years of professional trading experience across four asset classes. My background combines economics, statistics, discretionary trading, market making, statistical arbitrage, copy trading, and algorithmic spot FX.
What makes my perspective useful is the combination.
I have made the typical young-trader mistakes myself. I have worked inside professional trading environments. I have seen how market professionals think about risk, flow, execution, incentives, and survival. I have also seen the retail side at account level, where behaviour becomes visible very quickly.
That gives me a distinct point of view on retail FX.
Retail forex traders usually do not lose because they lack intelligence or motivation. Many are successful in other areas of life. They are analytical, serious, and willing to work hard. They lose because they trade a product they only partly understand, through an industry they only partly understand, while repeating behavioural patterns they have not learned to control. That is the part I want to write about.
No click bait, no "I found the holy grail indicator for 199$!", and I don't sell your data. That allows me to be critical and independent. I am writing a book, so I will offer that when it's done next year.
Just a critical voice on retail FX. That's it. Pinky swear.
